Built in the 13th century, the castle of Meung-sur-Loire was until the French Revolution the prestigious residence of the bishops of Orléans. It will surprise you with its visit dedicated to everyday life: more than 20 rooms furnished, 2,000 objects set in situation and a course in odorama await you for a real immersion in the heart of castle life! Your visit will take you from the superb attic to the dark underground, from the magnificent neoclassical chapel to the 18th century bathrooms. Follow in the footsteps of Louix XI, François I, Jeanne d'Arc or the poet François Villon who stayed in the castle’s prisons…
