Site naturel préservé de Benne

The Benne nature area, an 80-hectare site protected since 2006 by the Conservatoire d'espaces naturels de la région Centre (Loire Valley Region Nature Conservation Centre), stretches out over a distance of 3.7 km by approximately 150m wide. It contains all kinds of Loire Valley natural habitats, including dry, sandy grasslands that remain unspoilt in surroundings that have been strongly marked by human activity. Situated opposite the former fishermen's hamlet of Benne, the area has for a long time hosted all kinds of activity, but has nonetheless kept an extraordinary wealth of wildlife for those who wish to discover it. Access: opposite the hamlet of Benne, via the D953 (road from Nevoy to Ouzouer-sur-Loire).
