Colette

1873-1954

A native of Saint-Sauveur-en-Puisaye where she spent her childhood and teens, Colette also lived with her brother, Doctor Robineau, at Châtillon-Coligny. It was there, between her family and her reading, that she met the writer Willy.
Once married, she moved to Paris to launch her literary career, but her books are full of memories of her childhood in Gâtinais.
